Lack of Changing table

by Jennie P. written to Denny's Restaurant
Posted Wed April 19, 2006 7:34 pm
I'd like to suggest that the Denny's in Fallbrook, CA look into installing a changing station in one or both of the restrooms.
Denny's promotes itself as a family-friendly restaurant. And for the most part it is. I enjoy being able to take my kids to an appropriate restaurant, but it is a bit of a hassle to take the baby out of the restaurant and half-way across the parking lot to the car to change her.
I respectfully request that the management consider purchasing a changing station.
Thank you,

Changing Table

Last week my husband and I took our two children to dinner at Pizza Hut. While there, my eight week old baby needed a diaper change. Much to my surprise, I went into the restroom and there was no where for me to change him. Our waitress informed my husband that it was against Pizza Hut policy to have a baby changing table due to sanitary reasons. This makes absolutley no sense whatsoever. There are toilets in the bathroom that have millions of germs...how is a place to change a baby any different? People have babies...babies need their diaper changed!

Because of this our family will not be going back to Pizza Hut. I believe that other families will also stop eating there as well when they realize they have no place to change their children's diaper. There were three other familes with small children while I was there and each of them had comments about the restaurant not having a changing table as well.

I would hope that you would reconsider having a changing table for families. Other restaurants have them and it hasn't made the bathrooms any dirtier!

No place to change m baby's diaper!!

I'm writing to bring your attention to a problem with the experience at Pizza Hut, Inc.. The restaurant I'm referring to is at Union Rd. Cheektowaga NY 14225.
I have a 10 month old daughter who wears diapers. I took her to the bathroom to change her diaper and i found no where to change her. I asked an employee for a place and they said to use my car. Um I live in buffalo, it's middle of winter and very cold outside!! I have to leave my baby in her dirty, smelly diaper until we left.
I have no plans to eat at your establishment again. Also, I don't plan on recommending you to people I know.
Here is how I would like you to address my complaint: Buy some changing tables, they can't cost that much!! Compensation for my and my daughter's aggercation would be great too..

No Diaper Changing Station in a FAMILY restaurant

by Michael C. written to Burger King

I'm writing to bring your attention to a problem with the experience at Burger King. The restaurant I'm referring to is at Coralville, IA.  ALL restrooms (men's and women's) in ANY "family" restaurant should be required to have diaper changing stations in them.
It's like Russian Roulette whenever we go to a Burger King and I have to change one or both of my daughters' diapers. I am sick of having to change my child's diaper on the bathroom floor!
I am uncertain whether I would consider dining in your restaurant again. Also, I might or might not continue to recommend your establishment.
Here is how I would like you to address my complaint: Make a corporate mandate that all Burger King restaurants are to install and maintain diaper changing stations.
If you are going to sell kid's meals, then be "kid friendly"..

No diaper stations!

I'm writing to bring your attention to a problem with the cleanliness or hygiene at Pizza Hut, Inc.. Specifically, my complaint concerns restrooms. The restaurant I'm referring to is at Altoona Pennsylvania. My family recently visited your Altoona Pa store. As soon as I got to the store, I rushed to the womens restroom to change my son's diaper. I noticed that the restroom did not have any place to change a diaper. My son really need his diaper changed so I gave him to my husband to see if the men's restroom had one and it didn't.
I could not believe that you had no place to change a dipaer. I asked the waitress and she said there was no room to install a diaper station in either bathroom and to change him in the booth that were were sitting in.
I am sorry but I think that is totally gross to change a diaper at the table you are eating at. I can't believe you could not provide a place anywhere.
Well I really enjoy your establishment but now I know that I can't go back with my family.
It's unlikely I would consider dining in your restaurant with my family. Also, I might continue to get take out food.
Here's what I'd like to see happen: to provide a diaper changing station.

Diaper Changing In Long Island TacoBell

I'm writing to bring your attention to a problem with the cleanliness or hygiene at Taco Bell. Specifically, my complaint concerns store cleanliness. The restaurant I'm referring to is at Port Jefferson Station NY RT 347.
I could not believe it when I saw it.
I went to Taco Bell, ordered my food and as I was heading towards the dining area I actualy saw a female employee changing her baby's diaper on the table along with some of her family or friends.
This is no joke and I was shocked.
I commented to her and she spoke not 1 word of english so I looked like the fool.
Another man saw this and turned around and told his wife.
The manager was not available at the time and I went home with $25 worth of food that was tossed in the garbage after I told the group I was with what happened.
It's unlikely I would consider dining in your restaurant again. Also, I don't plan on recommending you to people I know.
Here's what I'd like to see happen: I want to be reimbursed and more.
I expect to hear back from someone within a matter of a few days or I will take this 1 step higher.
I eat at Taco Bell so often because I love it, I really do.
I can get around th efact that people never wear gloves besides the cashiers but I better be contacted and not by the local manager whom doesn't care.

Where do you expect me to change my daughter's diaper?!?!

by Jennifer G. written to In-N-Out Burgers
Posted Fri October 4, 2002
I'm writing to bring your attention to a problem with the experience at In-N-Out Burgers. The restaurant I'm referring to is at Fairfield, CA.
I'm very disappointed with my most recent In & Out experience in Fairfield, CA. I went to In & Out on Oct 4th for lunch with my husband and daughter. I was very disappointed to find that the restrooms did not have a diaper changing station. Because of this, I was forced to go back out to my car and change my daughter's diaper in a busy parking lot in 90 degree weather. This made my dining experience less than pleasurable; and I certainly would have expected more from a family oriented and kid-friendly restaurant.
I am uncertain whether I would consider dining in your restaurant again. Also, I might not continue to recommend your establishment.
Here is how I would like you to address my complaint: Acknowledge my inconvience and install diaper changing stations in both the men and women's bathrooms.

Problem with the Melissa diaper bag changing pad

I'm sure you know how important your products are to the people who buy them, so I hope you are willing to take seriously my complaint about your company's durability. My complaint concerns the Melissa diaper bag. The changing pad that I have with my Melissa diaperbag has already ripped after having it for only a few months. I can't find a replacement.
Despite this problem, I will most likely end up buying from your company again.
Here's what I'd like to see happen: send me a new changing pad.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Your prompt attention to this letter would be greatly appreciated.

No diaper changing table at Toys R Us!

by Jeff P. written to Toys R Us
Posted Mon September 10, 2001
Help! I have a complaint that I want to bring to your attention, and I hope you can deal with this issue quickly. I'm sure you will go out of your way to keep your customers happy. This incident has perturbed me.
I'm talking about your store located at 130 E. El Camino Real in Sunnyvale, CA. Here's the situation: My wife and I visited this store on Saturday, September 8th, 2001. During our visit, we needed to change our 15 month-old daughter. To our dismay, we discovered there were no changing tables available in either the men's or the women's restroom! We contacted the person at the customer service desk. His reason was that the studs in the wall were too far apart to have the table installed. This is not a valid reason in my mind. As a result, my wife and I left the store to change our daughter. We did not purchase all of the items we had planned, as our daughter was our first concern.
Here's what I expect you to do: Toys 'R' Us should be embarrassed for not providing such an inexpensive solution as a diaper changing table in both the men's and women's restroom. Just about everywhere else we visit have these as "standard" equipment.
Based on all of my experiences with your company, I am a bit dissatisfied. As far as shopping with you in the future is concerned, I'll probably still do it, but I hope you fix this problem. I'm uncertain if I will recommend you to my friends and family.
As I said, I'm sure you value your customers and will want to address this complaint quickly. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks.

Diaper Changing Area Needed

by Melissa W. written to Denny's Restaurant
Posted Fri April 20, 2001
I'm writing to bring your attention to a problem I had with the experience at your restaurant. I'm sure you value your customers and want to keep them, so I hope you will take this complaint seriously and come up with a quick resolution. I'm specifically talking about your restaurant located at International Speedway Boulevard, Daytona Beach, FL. This incident has left me quite annoyed. Here's what happened: I have recently dined at 2 different Denny's in the Daytona Beach/Ormond Beach, FL area. Neither Denny's has a Diaper Changing Station. As a mother of a 7 month old, this is frustrating for me. Having to change my baby's diaper on the counter between the sinks (which I first had to wipe down because it was dirty), is difficult and annoying. I worry about my baby's safety and hygiene.  Here's how I'm hoping you will fix the problem: I would like you to install/provide a Diaper Changing Area in your restrooms.
I occasionally eat at your restaurant. Usually, I spend about $28.00 when I patronize one of your establishments. My overall experiences with your company have left me somewhat dissatisfied. I am unsure of whether I will eat at your restaurant again. I still might recommend you to others.
I'm sure you'll rectify this situation. You may even benefit. People may be willing to pay more for improvements. I appreciate your taking the time to read this. I hope you can help me with my problem. The sooner, the better.

Unable to change diaper due to being a man.

by written to Edwards Cinemas
Posted Sat August 12, 2000
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service at Edwards Cinemas.
Let me briefly recount my experience:
My wife and I are expecting our second child in another week, so I thought I would take her to an afternoon movie at the new Edwards at the Promenade in Temecula. Luckily, my son nearly slept through the whole show. However, he did wake up and I needed to take him to the bathroom to change his diaper. To my dismay, there was no baby-changing station in your mens' room. It made for a very difficult situation.
I am a frequent customer of Edwards Cinemas. As a result of this experience I might/might not use Edwards Cinemas again. I definitely will tell people about this matter. I believe that this kind of service will have a negative impact on your business.
I know that you wish to correct this situation as quickly as possible, so I am asking that you install baby-changing stations in ALL of your bathrooms. With my new baby coming, the likelihood that I will have need of one again is increasing, and it would certainly come in handy.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I am the father of a 11 month old daughter. I took her to the men's restroom to change her diaper so that my wife could finish her lunch. However, this restaurant did not have a changing table in the men's restroom and I was forced to change her on the dirty floor.
The sink area was also occupied. Installing a foldable changing table in the bathroom would be a simple thing to do. I also noticed that there were three other families in this restaurant with babies that day.  We eat at this restaurant on a regular basis but will be forced to go elsewhere if they cannot install a changing table in both restrooms.
